Objectives / Role
		Supporting the rights of children, parents, families and communties, and promote the significant role of childhood development in society. To shape and influence national policy, and highlight issues as they arise. This can be achieved through being represented on national structures, and being a channel with Government Departments. Providing a voice for communities in profiling pertinent issues on the agenda. Share learning and expertise both amongst Partnerships and their staff and boards, and externally. Liaising with other agencies, childcare committees, and building links with local groups.

Meeting Times		Once every two months.
Reporting Procedure		To PLANET Network every quarter and provides relevant updates to PLANET management committee and Childcare Co-ordinators as required.
Workplan 2008		Endeavor to ensure that the Community Childcare Subvention Scheme provides a quality support structure to all children in community childcare facilities. Offer ongoing support to the Office of Minister for Children in the formulation of the next Childcare Programme Information Exchange within the PLANET Network Further promotion of External Linkages with relevant agencies, individuals, etc. Preparation of information / policies relevant to Partnerships progression of Child Wellbeing Liaising with Pobal re: roll-out of Programmes
Informing Network		Through constant email communication with partnership staff and boards of management On a quarterly basis at PLANET Network Meeting
